Years of experience and innovation have enabled Dinnissen to establish a strong line of Pegasus® Mixers. Our in-house developed, perfected and proven mixing techniques form the basis of all these different mixers. This basis is further expanded with process steps that can be combined with mixing. A matching solution for every process

Not every product requires the same treatment. Dinnissen gladly works with the client to design a mixer that can do more than just mix. This allows one machine to have multiple functionalities and makes the production process as efficient as possible.

Heating, sterilizing, cooling back and drying in one process

The Pegasus® Thermidor is a concept from Dinnissen that combines two mixers for the best results. The first mixer injects steam at 85 degrees, killing any bacteria in the mixture. The wet product is then poured into the second mixer, where it is dried and cooled. After this, heat-sensitive products can be mixed in.

Heating

Dinnissen produces mixers that use steam, wall heating or hot air to heat the product. These highly effective systems can be used, for example, as pretreatment or salmonella control. The population of microbes is reduced by 99.999% and the mixer then cools the product back down to the desired temperature without any de-mixing.

Drying

Mixing can be combined with drying the mixture. With the convenient control system, you can easily set the desired moisture percentage in your product. The mixer ensures the mixture remains homogeneous despite the drying process.

Cooling

Looking for a machine that combines mixing with cooling your product? Dinnissen offers various solutions. Cooling can be done using a cooling trough, with air or nitrogen. Ask our specialists about all the possibilities. Together we can determine which solution best suits your production process.  

Mixing viscous products

Dinnissen's molasses mixer is capable of mixing extremely viscous products with flour. Molasses are a syrupy by-product of sugar beets or sugar cane. Our specialists will gladly tell you more about the possibilities.

Acidifying

Teas, confectionery, cereals and snacks for which a fresh sour taste is required can pass through an innovative finishing touch treatment by this mixer. Looking for a different functionality? Dinnissen provides customized solutions and is happy to think along with you to optimize your production process.

Coating

Mixing can also be combined with applying a coating. The spray system developed by Dinnissen ensures that each pellet receives an even top layer. It is also possible to apply multiple layers.

Key features, options, and models

All Pegasus® Mixers work with the same principle. At the top, the product is brought into the mixer through an airtight seal. The product is mixed with two counter-rotating blades. Hatches are located at the bottom of the mixer and can be opened when the product is mixed as desired. Various processes are possible in combination with mixing.

How it works

Each Pegasus® Mixer consists of a mixing chamber with two counter-rotating mixing shafts. The product to be mixed is brought in at the top of the machine, through an airtight sealed connection. Depending on the desired functions of the mixer, the product can be heated or cooled, steam can be added, the moisture percentage can be determined, a top coat can be applied and more.
